We know that a problem with a tyre you want expert advice and quality service. We understand that choosing the right tyre can be somewhat of a minefield, from what size to choose , to a brand that will be the right fit for what it will be used for.
It is important to note, your tyres are the only point of contact your vehicle has with the road. It is therefore very important that the right tyre is selected for your car and for the reason it is being used. In reality you should be checking all four tyres every couple of weeks for correct pressure, wear and general overall condition including any spare.
Our tyre repair service is done to the British Standard – BSAU159f:1997. This Standard also defines limits to the location, size and number of repairs that can be carried out and materials to be used for the repair.
Tyres should always be checked thoroughly prior to a repair. Tyres with any of the following signs should not be repaired;
- tread depth below 1.6mm across the central ¾ of the entire circumference
- Secondary damage – caused by the injuring object
- deterioration of tyre rubber
- Bead damage
- Exposed cords
- Faulty/poor previous repairs
If in doubt do not repair.
We are unable to repair runflat tyres.
Wheel balancing helps to ensure that the weight of the wheel is even when it turns. Wheel balancing comes as standard with all new tyre purchases.
